Canon CaptureOnTouch Mobile is a mobile scanning application designed for the imageFORMULA scanner series. It provides users with the capability to operate Canon document scanners directly from iOS devices, facilitating a streamlined workflow for digitizing paper documents.

The interface is user-friendly, allowing for straightforward operation and the ability to send scanned images to other applications seamlessly. The app supports various functionalities such as converting scanned documents into PDF or JPEG formats, although Black and White mode is limited to PDF output. Additionally, it enables direct scanning to iOS devices and integration with cloud services, enhancing flexibility in document management.

Supported scanner models include Canon's imageFORMULA DR-C230, DR-C240, DR-M140, DR-M160II, DR-M260, DR-M1060 (requiring optional NA10 or WA10 units), as well as DR-C225WII, DR-S150, DR-S130, and R50. Note that WU10 is no longer supported; users with this device should continue using CaptureOnTouch Mobile version 3.1.7 or earlier. For DR-C225W users wishing to utilize the latest version, a firmware update via a personal computer is necessary.

The application offers various scanner settings to optimize scanning operations, including document side (Simplex/Duplex/Skip Blank Page), resolution (150 dpi/300 dpi), scanning mode (Color/Grayscale/Black and White), document size (A4, Letter, Auto-detection, or Text Auto-detection), and ultrasonic double feed detection which remains active at all times.
